(Here’s another picture of epoxy garage flooring in action.)
Is the well running dry on garage-related blog material?
Am I just trying to get fired?
Do I really wonder if anything rhymes with garage?
These all probably fit to some extent, but the reason for this post is like 75% the third question. I looked at the word “garage” this morning and that was the first thing I thought of.
I checked Write Express, Answers.com, and Encyclopedia.com to find out.
Those were the first three choices in Google, but that’s not laziness. Just good searching. Unless you’re writing in-depth and culturally insightful material like this, you have no room to criticize.
Anyway, the words that allegedly rhyme with garage:
barrage, collage, corsage, dressage, entourage, massage, mirage, montage, parage marage
Now, some of this will depend on how you pronounce garage, that being the choice between “guhrawge” and “grahge”. (I don’t think that’s technical pronunciation lingo, but you surely know what I’m saying here.)
In any case, I’d argue that none of those words cited actually rhyme with garage, unless you’re doing it in a rap song, because in a lot of that stuff, you can get away with rhyming “lamp” and “car” if you want to.
Also, if anyone can tell me what a “parage marage” is, it’d be appreciated.
