Epoxy floor coating Palatine
Everything ages and this includes houses. When houses get old, the first signs of that aging appear on the floor. This is because the floor of your house is the most downtrodden part of it. Apart from that, the change of the weather also affects the floors as well as the humidity and the moisture that the weather brings. All of this will result in the crumbling, creaking and sinking of your floors. When that happens, you will have to repair them, which can be quite expensive on the long run because they will need regular maintenance because the repairs are not permanent, they are only short term fixes.
This is why you should look for a more permanent solution that will help you avoid the constant expensive repairs like epoxy flooring. Epoxy flooring is not exactly the cheapest solution out there but it is cost effective in the long run. This is because it is cheaper to install an epoxy flooring system once than repairing and maintaining your old flooring on a regular basis.
Epoxy floor coating Palatine is widely used in industrial facilities and homes. This is due to its strong resistance and adhesive qualities against weathering, heaviness and other chemical reactions. Some might think that in order for the flooring to be that tough and strong that they will have to sacrifice its good looks and that it will look abrasive and stiff. This is no true, thanks to the available technology in that field, the epoxy flooring can now look as attractive and sleek as granite or marble flooring. It is available in numerous designs and colors instead of the typical gray solid floor. This is why more homeowners are started to use epoxy flooring for their garage cabinets Palatine.
What Type of Epoxy Flooring You should look for?
There are three types of epoxy flooring and they do not have the same quality and durability. This is why you will have to be very careful when purchasing it, especially if it is on a low price offer as there is a big chance that the low priced epoxy flooring is going to be water or solvent based. You should always go with the 100% solids epoxy flooring, it is the high grade type that has the highest durability and resistance as well as high life expectancy as it can last for well over 20 years. Some people are lured into using water or solvent based epoxy flooring because of its cheap price and its ease of use as water-based epoxy is the recommended choice for homeowners who would like to install it themselves. Although that makes sense but in the long run, it will be the more expensive choice.
It is not only about choosing the epoxy flooring as choosing the contractor is as important. This is because once the epoxy substance is mixed with a reaction-initiating substance, it has to be spread quickly because it has a brief spreadable life. Therefore, it has to be handled by a professional.

Really Pleased! Our garage needed some major help – not only was it a mess but the floor was just ugly with all the stains and such. I will agree with the reviewer below – do not go with the cheap imitators! Floorguard not only has a great product, but their installers and service is well worth any extra cost, which is minimal anyway. Our neighbors have commented on how good our garage looks and we’ve recommended them to Floorguard without hesitation.

Covering our old, gray garage floor was a great aesthetic and functional improvement. This project requires 2 days: first day preparing the surface (major job requiring right equipment), putting down first coating and sprinkling the flakes. This requires about 4 hours. After this dries, they come back next day and apply the topcoat. They notified us when they would start the work and arrived as promised. They worked diligently, completed the work efficiently, left the work areas and our driveway clean. The owner Steve is a great guy to deal with.

It was a pleasure dealing with the company’s owner Steve Chaloult. When we called him to give us an estimate, he arranged to come within a few days. We have a very large two car garage. His estimate was a bit more than the first company we called but he seemed very well prepared in showing us samples and very knowledgeable about his product and we just liked him. For personal reasons , we had to delay installation for about a month and he could not be more accommodating. we finally we able to have it done this past week and it was worth the wait. The garage floor is just beautiful and I never would have thought I would say that about a garage floor! We also had the lower walls around the floor done and very glad we did. At one time we were thinking we could do this ourselves using a kit. WHAT were we thinking? This is a job for a professional and we are so glad we used Steve.

The owner Steve Chaloult was easy to work with and he’s very good at what he does. I highly recommend Floorguard as your contractor if you’re wanting to have a garage floor finished with a durable epoxy like colored finish. Floorguard came when they said they would and cleaned up after they were finished. Floorguard also installs garage storage cabinets.
